Politicion BABA!

In the history of the world there has always been seen that politics and religion has been influencing eachother and many times swamis, gurus, saints and religious leaders has come infront to become part of the national movements, sometimes they involve in politics and tries to use their fame to get power and money.

In the history of India especially many such religious BABAs have come from time to time and who have taken active part in elections too. Since when India got freedom we have seen many times any BABA who become famous and create a political party. But it seems that nobody has yet been succeeded though fully. Because people think of them and believe them as far as the religion is concerned but as far as the politics is concerned most people think that it is not of their business. Because being a "DharmGuru" is one thing and politics is another thing. People think that it is not possible for those gurus to play dirty political games. Moreover the purpose of their is to teach religion and true values. But in today's politics no value matters and noone cant succeed without doing any wrong thing. So that is why none has yet become a successful politicion as well as a religious leader.

BaBa RAMDEV is a newcomer in this trend. As though he has got unbelievable popularity within very shoet time through teaching YOGA and popularising it countries outside india through his TV channels and media that noone has made till far, and made a vow to make INDIA corruption free, rich and superpower till 2014, creating a new political party named " Bharat Swabhimaam Party" and started nationwide moment to make members and popularise by using his own fame as YOG-GURU and clear image till far. Baba has created his empire through his own Ayurved farmacy and selling drugs to the learners that come to his Patanjali Yogpeeth and by using his Yog Shibirs which are broadcasting live all over world on many channels like AASTHA. He has become so rich that he has his own two planes plus commandos, zed plus security and also an island. He will be using this money to raise funds for elections.

Although BABA has started with his Swadesi fundas and idealistic agenda, it would be interesting to see how much he progresses. If it comes all favouring than there will be no doubt that Baba Ramdev and his party will be in front. Because he has started with all the sensitive but non-controversial points that The COMMON MAN of India would love. In his each campaign he talks about empowering The COMMON MAN. If you see him on AASTHA he seems so confident about his goals. Look at this

It seems very idealistic and patroitic but BABA is very confident about his aims and he has started without compromising his agenda and he is gaining huge response from all over India. But whether he would be able to fulfill each of what he says if he comes in ruling would be a question.. But answer lies in future. Till now Baba has raised a number of issues. Have a look at those:

• Malpractices in the agricultural sector and soft drink business. Baba Ramdev says that the overuse of fertilizers & pesticides has profitted for those in trade, but it has affected health of common man since fruits and vegetables are increasingly becoming contaminated with disease causing chemical compounds. Same way increased consumption of fast foods, iunk foods, packed foods and soft drinks by common people are disease causing. He says that soft drinks like Coke and Pepsi are no better than pesticides or toilet cleaners and this is enough to explain what effect it has on the human body.
• Exploitation of farmers Ramdev blames the corrupt governance practices for the miserable conditions of the farmers and other backward parts of the society. He says that agriculture is the biggest contributor to India's economy and yet the farmers are the most poverty stricken class of people. He says that for the economic prosperity of the country it is an issue of utmost importance to bring welfare to the farmers.
• Poor condition of indigenous industries Baba Ramdev blames failure of government policies for the state of the Indian industries with the Indian market being flooded with foreign made or foreign brand goods. Baba Ramdev says that indigenous industries must be supported and promoted to reduce the dependency on foreign made goods and for this both the government and the consumers have to be aware.
• Indian black money in Swiss banks Baba Ramdev has publicly raised the issue of Indian money stashed away illegaly in Swiss bank which is estimated to be between 1-1.5 trillion USD. He says that the government must take concrete action and bring back the money as it belongs to the people of India and has been taken out of the country illegally.
• 840 Million People living on Rs. 20 a day Official surveys indicate that at least 84 Crore (840 Million) people (nearly 75% of the population) are living with a capacity to spend Rs.20 or less in a day. Baba Ramdev has started the Bharat Swabhiman Andolan the first aim of which is to bring prosperity to these 840 million people.

Effect of Baba Ramdev's announcement on starting Bharat Swabhiman Andolan has created some political momemts and some political parties like BJP who has been established has feared to face a new competition of religious politics although Baba Ramdev has declined his party would be religious. He said

"We have to build a campaign. That is why I am neither going to contest elections nor accept any position. We will contest the next Lok Sabha election,"
